With Ceilidhs not yet allowed our band members are continuing with their music - individually. Tiggy (violin) and Radders (Guitar) are teaching remotely or safely distanced and Paul ( Bagpipes etc:) is playing for Weddings / Funerals / parties, and on Sunday Night - a wake.A wonderful send off for Liz', a proud Scot, who said she wanted to go out with a bang - accompanied by the bagpipes.
So on Sunday night I led the procession through Paignton to a park where she used to sit every evening with her little dog.
With 40 close family and friends and my bagpipes playing 'Flower of Scotland' her ashes were sent up in 4 specially commissioned rockets. A lot of tears, some laughter, great respect to a wonderful lady and one of my best nights.! ... See MoreSee Less

With - just a little - optimism starting to come with the gentle easing of Coronavirus restrictions, we are starting to get bookings for next year and already have 18 Ceilidhs booked in. If the vaccine is not ready by then, we will honour the bookings deposits if they have to move on to a later date and maintain the fee at the same price. Some weddings are going ahead regardless - but possibly with much reduced numbers of guests - and we can organise the dances to be with just family groups if necessary.?! ... See MoreSee Less
